Nexus 7 Impressions

So as I lay here in bed, typing away on my Nexus 7, I must admit that I’m VERY impressed. My Motorola Xoom WiFi was cool when it came out and I’m actually shocked it received jelly bean so fast but the hardware started to feel a bit outdated. Launching chrome and waiting for web pages to load in their tabs took ages and made me just pull out my retina macbook pro instead. Constant stuttering and unresponsive screen swipes also were annoying, as well as the weight being too much to work on comfortably without shifting the device every few minutes.

Enter the Nexus 7. Same resolution, half the weight and size much more comfortable and easier to grasp single handedly. This is the tablet sweet spot in my opinion. I supposed I’ll still use the Xoom for moves and music since I just recently bought the dock but as far as everything else, my Nexus 7 is the new go to device.

Once I get some more time in with it on a more daily basis I’ll post details on my findings.
